  1. There is an unused graveyard in Dooleeg. It is situated just behind John Joe Hegarty's house. People say it was never consecrated. Only infants and very young children were buried in it. A few adults are known to have been buried in it. It was last used about 14 years when a child belonging to John McDonnell, Eskeragh was buried. People used any kind of a box in which to bury the child. There are shrubs growing in the graveyard and it is circular in shape. A local name for this graveyard is Lisheen.
