  1. We have a churn at home. It is a machine churn. The barrel is 1 foot 8 inches high and the frame is 2 foot 7 inches high. The top and bottom are of the same width. They are both 1foot 2inches wide.
    The sides are round. It was six years old on last Saint Patrick's day. The various parts are known as the barrel, the frame, the handle, the lid, the keys, the plug and the air valve, and there is a catch in the side for hooking the churn.
    There is a mark on the side of the churn. It is a figure in the shape of a diamond with the figure two in the centre of it. The churning is done usually once a week in winter and twice
