    1st February 1938
When the crows are flying low it is the sign of rain .If they are to be seen in clusters on hills it is the sign of fair weather .When they are flying high it is the sign of good weather.
When sea gulls gather on the land stormy and rainy weather is almost always approaching .
If wild geese are flying in the north-west direction it is the sign of rain, and when they are flying south-east it is the sign of good weather.
When robins are flying about houses and going into stables in Winter it is the sign of snow.
Sheep gather to fences when a storm is coming. When smoke goes up straight from a chimney it is the sign of good weather .
