  1. Marriages generally used to take place in the olden times from the 6th January until the 1st March.
The days of the week that are said to be lucky and unlucky are as follows:
    Monday for health,
    Tuesday for wealth,
Wednesday the worst day of all,
    Thursday for crosses,
    Friday for losses,
    Saturday no luck at all.
Sunday the best day of all.
It was an old custom long ago that anyone who would be getting would have,
    Something old, something new
    Something borrowed, something blue.
It was an old saying that anyone who gets
Married in grey will go far away,
Married in green is a shame to be seen,
Married in blue is sure to be true,
Married in brown will live in the town,
Married in white is sure to be right,
