  1. About eighty years ago there lived in Boughadoon where John Mac Namara now lives, a man named Thomas Kelly. He was a very strong man. He did several great actions but I will give one here.
    One day he walked to Crossmolina a distance of ten miles. He bought a bag of flour and a hundred weight of Indian meal. Then putting one on each shoulder, he walked home.
