  1. How lonely the world would be without our feathered friends!
    There are many kinds of birds in this district namely: robins, larks, wrens. swallows, wagtails, magpies, wild geese, snipe, wild-duck. The robins and lark build their nests in a ditch or in a corn-field. The wren builds her nest in house-eaves. She lays eighteen eggs though she is the smallest of all the birds. Magpies and blackbirds build their nests on trees.
