Once upon a time there was a house in which a ghost was to be seen.

    (continued from previous page)
gave him a thump and put him back under the bed. When he got up he began to fight with the ghost until he nearly killed him. The ghost told him that if he would not kill him he would give him a pot of gold. The blacksmith agreed so the ghost lifted a stone from the hearth and showed the gold to the blacksmith. He took it and went home, and the ghost was never seen afterwards.
