    Once upon a time, there was a man who left his penknife after him in the grave-yard. He had a little boy, and when he went home, he told him to go to the grave-yard for his pen-knife. The boy did as he was told, and he got it. When he was returning home he met a man, who asked him to carry him to the first house. The boy did what he was asked, and when they reached the house, he asked the man to come off his back and he said "no" - that the people of that house say the rosary every night". He asked him to carry him to the next house, and when they reached the second house, the boy asked him to come off his back, but the man said "no"- that the people of that house are in the habit of fighting every night. He asked him to carry him to the next house, which was the boy's own house. It was
