- Headache:- When people are suffering from headache they usually tie a [?] tightly round the head, or other squeeze a cloth out of cold water and leave it on top fo the head to ease the pain.
Styes on the eyelids. When people have styes on their eyelids they usually wash them with cold tea, or others get ten gooseberry thorns, and point [?] of to the stye, and they throw tenth one across their right shoulder
Whooping cough When people have a whooping cough they eat the leavings of ferret, or if a person meets a man with a white horse, and him for a cure whatever he says supposed to be a cure.
Sprains. People usually go to a spout, leave their sprained foot, or [?] under the spout until it is well bathed, others bathe the sprain with warm water, and others again rub in goose-grease, and bandage it up tightly.(continues on next page)
