  1. Tinkers are a wandering tribe of people that have no home. They camp in sheltry places along the roads. They make saucepans and cans and baisins. They are called tinkers because it was they that made the nails for our Lord’s cross.
There are two families of tinkers that come to this place, the Collins and McDonaghs. They sell saucepans and baisins. They also mend cans and buckets. They have green spring carts for carrying their camps from place to place. The people gives them food.
