  1. If people was giving milk to others they would not give any May Day. They say long ago people used to go out and kneel down and ask God to give them more milk and butter.
    As soon as the other people of the village would make a churning they could not get any butter. But the people that said these prayers at every cows track would have the full of the church of butter. They always leave in the ashes May day for fear all their milk and butter would go away with the fairies. Then they get
