  1. There are seven fields on our farm The names of the different ones are “Garrdha caoin na caoil” the “shraoith” “carraigh na mhaoilte” “croch cruaidh” the “Park” the “Kilm field” and the “crocháin”
    “Garrdha caoin na caoil” got its name because it grows no crops. It is very bare and there is small bushes of heather growing in it.
    The “sraith” got its name because it is marshey and damp. “Carraigh na mhaoilte” got its name because there is a rock adjoining it called carraig na mhaoilte. The rock got its name because long ago a lot of
