    Hegarty was killed, there is a cross and it is surrounded with wire. The day he was killed there were a few other coffins brought to Bofeenaun Church. One of them was from Knockmore.

  2. HOME CURED BACON.

    It is an old Irish custom to kill a pig for home use sometimes before or after the Christmas. Some people prefer the home cured bacon to that cured in the factory and so the custom of killing pigs for home use has grown very much, amongst those who can afford it.
    If a man has two pigs and he intends to kill one of them, he sells the
