    About fifty years ago, there was no flour in this country. The people used oatmeal instead.

    About fifty years ago, there was no flour in this country. The people used oatmeal instead. They made oatmeal bread. They put no soda in it but salt and sugar and sugar and wet it with water. They kneaded it very well. They left it on a board to set it for about an hour.
    They made a big fire and placed a flag called a "griddle" in front of it and left the cake up to the "griddle". They kept turning it until it was baked. They put a lot of butter on it.
    One day two lads from the town came out to the country They got hungry and went into a house. The woman of the house gave
