    potatoes became very popular with the Irish.
    Farmers have different varieties in potatoes, early ones and late ones. Farmers sow many different kinds of potatoes especially old champions, Queens, Epicures, Aran-Banners, Skerry-Champions, Kerr's pinks, American rose, Dates, Flounders, and Victories . Potatoes are the principal food of Ireland now.
