    Pat Walsh better known as Pakie Walsh was another great weight thrower. He lived in Broadlands Ballysokeery. He came second to Mac Elroy. He threw the ½ cwt 27½ ft.

  2. William Quinn - Fearann Lua
    One day William Quinn and his brother were out in the field filling a cart of oats. William was building the oats on the cart. When they had the card of oats very neat filled a rabbit ran out from under a bart of oats. William jumped off the cart and ran after the rabbit and caught him before he reached the burrow.
