  1. Signs of rain are as follows, When the sky is very black it is one sign. If the cat is washing her face with her back to the fire it is another sign. If there is a blue blaze in the fire it is one more. When the wild geese start to go west it is a sign of bad weather. If the haws stick to the bushes late in the year it is a sign that there will be snow that winter. A person's corns get very sore when rain is coming. When the seagulls lie in a shelter field it is a sign of a storm. When the Ox mountain look yellow it is a sign of rain. When there is a cloud over Nephin it is a sign of rain. If the swallows fly low it is a sign of rain. If there are a lot of rain bows in the sky on a Saturday evening there will be bad weather the next week. If the dog is eating grass it is a sign of a storm. When the frogs start to get yellow it is a sign of good weather. When the sun goes down red it is a sign of good weather
