  1. In the townlandn of Knockanillaun in the parish of Ardagh, in the Barony of Tirawley, the county of Mayo, about half way between Ballina and Crossmolina road up as far as Martin Murphy's house. This was a very old road. It was at one time a mass path. It was up that boithreen the French went when they were fighting with the English at the rebellion of '98. This old road was repaired about eleven or twelve years ago.
