  1. In olden times there was very bad roads. The people who used these roads threw carts of stones on them that they gathered off the meadowfields. There are some still used. There is an old road leading from Rappa to the Crossmolina road. There is a very old road in Castlegore. It is about three miles long. It leads to the road at Knockadine bridge. It is still used. There is another road leading to Bundeelinbridge which is in the townland of Knockadine. There is a mass path on the Carrowin hill leading to Ardagh.
