  1. About one hundred years ago a man names Reddington worked for the Knoxes of Rappea. During that time one of the Knoxes of Rappe died, and was going to be buried in the Rappa graveyard. The Rappa graveyard is about one hundred yards from the Rappa road. At that time there was meadow growing between the graveyard and the road. Mr. Reddington was sent to cut a road through the meadow, in order the the carriages and horses would not tramp it down. SO the man went to the field and began to cut the meadow. He was not long working when he heard the noise of carriages and horses coming also the road. The horse and carriages went in through the meadow and when they landed at the graveyard they all disappeared
