  1. Fairy Forts.
    Peter Carr 5/4/'38,
In olden times there was a lot of old forts in this locality. There is a fort in our land, in the townland of Slievenagark, in the Parish of Ardagh and in the Barony of Tir Awley.
There are a lot of sloe bushes in this fort. It is said it is not right to break a branch off any of the bushes.
The old people said they used to hear singing and music. This fort is round (and) but it is not very deep.
