  1. There used to be a fair held on the Ballina side of the Rathduff Chapel in the Parish of Rathduff, and in the Barony of Tirawley. The people called this fair "The Fair of Gallis Hill." There used to be a lot of goats, sheep, cattle and horses in it. There used to be a lot of people fighting especially the cattle buyers. The people would get a great price from the English cattle-buyers.
