  1. One night a man was coming from a village known as Brackwansha at a late hour of night. As he was coming between Runagry and Knockmore a little white dog ran out from a bush and he said to the man, “Your name is Patrick Duffy, instead of Thomas Duffy, and do not let anybody call you Thomas Duffy again.” The man was afterwards called Padhraig dé'n na táoise. He was never seen out at a late hour of night again. Soon after that the man died and some people say, he was brought away with the fairies.
