    Nearly all the people got married through match making. Often a man who would be some friend of the girl would go and ask her father would she marry this man. Then if he said she would, they would make the bargain about her fortune whether it would be stock or money or land. Sometimes the marriages were made in the houses.
    The wedding was generally held in the girl's house and then she invited her friends; and the bridegroom invited his own, and they made a great wedding. The
