It is not right to throw out dirty water till clean water is brought in.
The man of the house should go out first on new Year's Day
It is not right to come in a door with a load on one's shoulder.
One magpie for sorrow.
Two for joy. Three for a wedding
Four for a boy. Five for silver
Six for gold. Seven for a secret never to be told.
If there is a magpie screaching outside the house a letter will come.
If a fork falls a lady will come.
