  1. Once upon a time there lived a poor man and his son. They lived in Galway in a lonely mountain. Their names were Kellys. The neighbours called the father Lord Kelly and he lived in Castle Kelly at the foot of Mount Meelick, Co. Galway. The son was very clever and he got to be a teacher. He used to teach all the children of the neighbourhood.
    At this time in Dublin there lived a Lord. He had two sons and he wanted someone to teach them. He heard of Kelly and sent for him. When he arrived the Lord brought him to the children. The next day Kelly began to teach them. One day while he was teaching the boys a girl came to him and said "I am the Lord's daughter and I have been away for a long time and I am not going away again." Every day Kelly used to meet the girl. When he had the boys taught he said to the girl on day. "Will you marry me" "I will marry you" she said "If my father consents" Then Kelly said he would ask her father. So he went and asked
