    (1) If you spill salt it is a sign of bad luck
    (2) If you break a mirror it is a sign of bad luck

    (5) When you ate travelling in a motor car and you meet a hare you will have bad luck
    (6)When you cross over a child you should cross over it back again or it will not grow
    (7) When you are going to bed at night you should rake and clean the hearth fire
    (8) When you are bringing out a child at night you should put a grain of salt on its dress so that the fairies won't take it
    (9) If a dog barks outside a house at night it is a sign that some one is going to die
    (10) If a red haired person is out of bed after
