made the deaf man hear. But before the deaf man knew this he gave the blind man such a slap in the face that it opened his eye. So now the deaf man could hear and the blind man could see and they were so overjoyed and grateful to one another they became better friends that ever. The deaf man confessed that he had hidden most of the treasure among the bushes, and they dragged it out and divided it. Then they went home and were rich men for the rest of their lives.
