   Later as they walked together towards the town the man asked the woman dis she know what time it was? She said "no" and he told he it was 3 o'clock in the morning, and that it was a good thing for her he was there or those animals would have torn limb from limb. She then told him she thought it was breaking day when she left home and the man then said to her "Never go there again at night" As they neared the corner of Garden St in Ballina the man allowed her to go on a pace in front, and when the woman turned to see what was keeping him she found herself alone

   An old Attymass man who was over eighty years at that time told the woman, when she described the man she saw to him that it was a parish priest that was in Attymass sixty year before and that her knew him well

   This story was told to my father by his mother (my grandmother) She was told it by the women it happened to whom she new well
