    he was drunk and he saw a devil. And he caught John by the hand and said
    "If ever I catch you card playing again I will bring you away with me" And he went away until he came to the fort. And they caught him and said
    "Why did you go away" He said he had to go home to his wife and they let him go and gave him a horse to ride. And they told John not to ever go card playing again and John said "All right"
    And John never came that way again.
