  1. My village is named Rathglass, and it is situated about four miles from Ballina from Ballina. There are seven houses in it. All the people are farmers. There are two fairy hills in it, but there is no historical story told about them. The population is about forty people, and some of the people keep a great many cattle. The names of the people are, Lowthers, McNulty's, McHale's, Walsh's. There are two families of Lowther's and two families of McHale's.
