  1. Old Time Weddings
    Some fifty or sixty years ago when there were no cars people that used to be getting married used to ride on horses. Their friends used to accompany them to the church riding on horses. A man and woman rode on each horse.
    They would invite all there friends, and have a "arangging".
    When they were comming home after the marriage each would strive to be first at the bride's house, where the wedding was held. There was eating and drinking, dancing and song until morning.
    The person who arrived first got a bottle of whiskey to be divided on whom he wished the "treated" the bride and bridegroom and his own special friends, and looked upon the winning of it as a great honour.
