  1. There is another place near Lacken strand and the tide never comes in on this spot of ground, and it is just as low as where the tide comes in. But St. Patrick stood on this spot and said, "The tide will never come in on this spot." There was a man fishing salmon in the river near the same place which flows in to Lacken Strand and he had one killed and St. Patrick asked it of him so he said. "Wait until I kill another." So St. Patrick did but the next Salmon was bigger than the first, and he refused the S[ain]t, so the saint said a salmon or a trout never will be caught there again, and there was none caught ever since.
