There is a story told. One night a woman named Mrs W Lynn R.I.P, Kilcummin, Lacken, was spinning one night about one o'clock. It was after the Christmas and her brother had died on the Xmas night before. He was a very holy man, and she told him to send her some sing if he was happy.
So that night she heard a whistle in the Barrow. So she paid no heed. Then she heard a woman singing at the window. So she raked the fire quinched the lamp and went to bed. About a half an hour afterwards a beautiful red light came into the house, and filled the house with a beautiful perfume. So then she knew he was in heaven.
