  1. One night a few girls were coming from a hall in Lacken about ninty nine years ago. They did not come around the road they came across a river. When they were near the water, they heard a voice saying "Will you carry me across Kathleen," One of the girls seen the girl, but the other two girls, could not see the spirit.
    When they were across the girl that carried the spirit said "That's my sister Mary that died last month and she is doing her penance. She is on her way to the burrow."
