  1. There is a stone about a mile from Killala. It is on the left hand side of the road on your way to Ballycastle. Long ago when St. Patrick was passing he sat down resting on the side of the road, and he stuck the top of his stick in a stone, which was nearby.
    Ever since it is said if you came at a certain time of the year, to this stone and rubbed the water that is in the hole on your teeth, it would keep your teeth safe from toothache.
