  1. There is four foxes in our district. They often do great destruction. They kill geese, ducks, hens, and carry them away with them, when they get the chance.
    They go away ever so far from their dens in search of fowl. They are very hard caught, they are so wise. They come around the houses where the fowl be, and they bring them away, but it is said where there is a dog, and if he barks, that they go away afraid of him, and dos'nt do any damage.
