    knocked the man down.
    When he got up he followed the cow and turned her again for the road, and when she came to the same place she turned again and made off. He followed her again, and turned her back and said she would not go the third time, so she turned again, and he hit her with a good blow on the head, and she went against the ghost, and brought a piece of the ditch the other side of the road with her.
    So when he came up to where the ghost was, what did he see but a woman sitting on the steps leading into the graveyard. He walked up to her, and said good night, and she didn't speak. He spoke again, and said if she was a living person her to speak in the name of God. So she answered him, and what was in it, but a woman he knew well, and she sat there waiting for her brother,
