  1. First of all when you are going putting down eggs you get a box. Then it is lined inside with hay or straw. Twelve eggs are put on top of the hay. The clucking hen is put on top of the eggs then. She is left on them for three weeks. Every day she is taken out and given water and boiled potatoes mashed up with meal. When the young birds come out they are given oatmeal
