    There are five spinning wheels in this district.
    There are not many people able to make spinning wheels. There is a family in Kilcummin able to make them. Their names are Collins. The father was much better that the sons but he died a few years ago R.I.P. Then the son took up the position but he too died last year R.I.P. His name was Patrick Collins, Carrowtrasna, Carrowmore, Lacken, Ballina, Co. Mayo.
    Long ago the people spun thread for quilts, shawls, flannel and linen but now very few articales are spun nowadays because the spinning wheels are
