  1. Long ago the people used to have a lot of cures. They were able to cure the ring worm, The Rose, and other eye ailments.
    The seventh son is said to be able to cure Ring-worm. The mother gets a worm and puts it into the child's hand and leaves it there till it dies, and after that if he leaves his hand on the ring worm it will cure it.
    Sally Gregg, Chapel Lane, Killala, is able to cure the Rose. The person who wants to get the cure brings her unsalted butter. She boils the butter with herbs and then says some prayers
