    Kilean Brun was so called because some Bruns of ancient times had their church there. Cill Gobbin was so called because "Goban Saor," a great mason of ancient times had lived there.
    There are not many historical places in Cortoon. There is an old quarry in James Fallon's land. It is about a hundred yards from the public road. Some time ago James Fallon was quarrying for some sand and found some sheletons there.
