  1. Some distance from our School stands Castle Rea Wood which belonged to the Knores in former days. There is a saw-mill there at present for making different useful articles.
    It belongs to a firm of Merchants from Galway known as Mc Anch. Mr Hamilton is manger there. There are several others employed. Mr Hamilton, Mr P. Tallon, Mr. T Tallon Mr C. Spaine, Mr. J. Monaghan, Mr. P.Flaherty, Mr P. Hoban, Mr. M. Carey. Mr Byrnes, and Mr John Farrell.
    Some of those are felling the trees with cross-cuts and lopping the branches
