  1. Recipe:
    Get a half-dozen large sized potatoes. Wash and dry them well. Grate them into a basin. A grater is a long oval shaped piece of tin with several little holes in it. The front of the grater is very coarse.
    Method:
    Catch the grater in one hand and the potatoe in the other. Rub the potatoe on the grater until it is a soft mass like froth. Put the grated potatoes into a muslin bag and squeeze the water out of them. You then mix the dry part with a little flour, salt and soda. Grease a pan and cut the
