  1. Michael Hoban, bortoon, Killala, found ten gold coins when he was digging in his garden. They were the ruins of an old house over where he found the treasure. He found them in ashes.
    He sold them and they were worth £5. Michael Hoban is alive yet. He lives in Church St., Killala, and is about thirty-three years of age.
