  1. Once there was a man and a woman (living) in a hole in a ditch. They were very poor. They made their living on fishing. One day the man was out fishing, he caught a salmon. He brought him in on the bank to kill him. When the man had him on the bank he said, "If you let me free, I will give your wife any deed she wants."
    The man let him go and went home He told his wife about the salmon. She told him she wished to be in a cottage. The man went to the river, where he caught the salmon.
    When he came to the shore, he went down to the brink of the water. At
