  1. In summer we hatch a good deal of eggs. First of all we get a box and put a sod of clay at the bottom of it. Then we put straw and hay over it and fix it very tidy. We get twelve or fourteen eggs and put them in the middle of the box.
    We get a clucking hen and leave her on them for three weeks. We feed her once a day with meal and potatoes and we give her a drink of
