  1. Foighhíll no Fé Cóill which means under wood. Cíll Góiddhan nó Góiddan saór means that Góddhan had his church there. Cíll Cúimhin means that St. Cúimin's church and holy well there.
    It was supposed that there was a flag over his grave. If anything was done wrong to the people, they tried to turn the stone and it was sure if it was done that a terrible storm would blow.
    It was broken and it was all taken to Ballina Cathedral all but a small bit. My grand father's uncle Martin Gughes, KilCúimhin, R.I.P. was at the hiding of that small bit. It was never looked for since.
