    not allow one outside the door when making a churning. When the churning is finished a special timber baisin is thoroughly rinsed with hot water and then with cold so that the butter will not stick to it. The scoop and the butter spades are washed also.
    The butter is lifted off the churn with a scoop. When it is lifted mother keeps washing it until the water comes out as clear as it went in. Then fine salt is mixed through it. Then (fine) it is given three washings again. It is then made in to a roll or into prints.
