- We have one horse. Her name is Peg. She is a very big animal. She is very useful also. She does all the work for the farmer. She ploughs harrows, and scuffles the land. She brings home the turf. She brings heavy loads in the card an does lots ofother jobs like that.
She eats grass, hay oats, potatoes, turnips. She drinks spring water. She drinks through her teeth. Her colour is black and she has a white star in her forehead. She is very big and strong. She has two big wild eyes. A bit head and two big long ears. She has a long tail also.
